Our Decks
Decking Done Right — Without the Big Price Tag
At Koetsier Home Services, we build beautiful, long-lasting decks that make the most of your outdoor space — without the bloated price tag. We use the same top-tier materials the big companies do, but without the big advertising budgets (or the overhead that comes with them). That means you get the same quality, products, and craftsmanship, for a whole lot less.
Whether you’re dreaming of a cozy backyard retreat or a fresh new front entry, we’ve got you covered — literally.
What We Build
PVC Decking
PVC decking is made entirely from durable plastic, so it won’t rot, warp, or attract insects. It’s highly resistant to moisture, fading, and stains, and it mimics the look of wood while requiring very little maintenance. Compared to standard composite decking, PVC is lighter, more resistant to water absorption, less prone to mold, and generally stays cooler under the sun, making it a stronger choice for high‑moisture or full‑sun environments.
Composite Decking
Standard composite decking is made from a blend of wood fibers and recycled plastics, giving it a wood‑like appearance with better durability than natural lumber. It resists rot, insects, and fading more effectively than wood and requires far less maintenance. Compared to PVC decking, composite is typically more affordable, offers a more natural wood feel, and provides solid performance in most climates, though it can be heavier and slightly more prone to moisture absorption and heat retention.
PRESSURE TREATED LUMBER
Pressure‑treated lumber is natural wood infused with preservatives to resist rot, insects, and decay, making it the most budget‑friendly and widely used decking material. It offers a classic wood look and can be stained or painted for customization. Compared to composite or PVC decking, pressure‑treated wood is far more affordable upfront but requires regular maintenance—such as sealing, staining, and periodic repairs—and is more prone to warping, cracking, and fading over time.
